News: YouTube now puts out 2 billion videos per day

Less than a month after turning five, YouTube says it is now streaming two billion videos per day. It has launched a “Five Year Channel” with some of its greatest hits. Via Mashable, some other notable YouTube details:

24 hours of video are posted every minute
The most popular video on YT is Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance”
More video is uploaded to YT in 60 days than the traditional TV networks created in 60 years
It is now monetizing (mostly through Google Ads) more than one billion video views per week
Hundreds of millions of videos are watched every month on YouTube
